The Institute for the Study of Christian Origins, Wilhelmstrasse 100. The Institute is conveniently located just a short walk from the main University library and the Mensa (cafeteria). It is near the University Sporthalle, one block from the "green space" of the Österberg, and a half a block from the bus line connecting to the student village in Waldhäuser Ost.

Office hours

During the regular University semesters the Institute office is open Monday - Thursday from 8:30 till noon, Friday 9:30 till noon. The Institute office is usually closed for vacation two weeks in August.

Stuckenbruck Library

Named in honor of founders Earl and OttieMerle Stuckenbruck.

Collection description, patron services:

The library boasts a small but specialized collection of original source material, as well as journals, reference works, monographs in the areas related to Christian Origins. The collection is searchable through a computerized data base at our facility, and is also integrated into the Universität Bibliothek computer system. The collection materials do not circulate. The library is organized around three reading/study rooms, and a photocopy machine is available at minimal cost. Internet access is available for visiting scholars and approved students.

Library Open Hours

The library is open weekdays from 9:00 till noon during the regular University semesters. Afternoons and semester breaks the library is open by appointment only.
